- I’m considering abortion. Should I have an ultrasound?
If you're thinking about abortion, start by confirming the viability of your pregnancy with an ultrasound.
**An ultrasound will determine:**
The gestational age of the pregnancy. This knowledge is important in determining which method of abortion you would be eligible for. Each type of abortion procedure and cost depends on your personal health history and how far your pregnancy has progressed.
To determine the viability of your pregnancy, the most reliable method is to undergo an ultrasound. We provide free ultrasounds to determine the viability and stage of fetal development in pregnancies. As a community-funded nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, Birth Choice doesn't financially benefit from your ultrasound or pregnancy decision. The advantage of getting an ultrasound at our center is that, since there's no charge, none of the procedures conducted will be reported to your insurance or billed to your account.
Your ultrasound information is kept 100% confidential. We're here to support you in a non-judgmental and secure environment as you explore your options.
